Britain will deploy Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets on defensive missions over Saudi Arabia to help intercept missiles and drones fired by Houthi rebels. Defence Secretary Wes Streeting stated the jets will conduct defensive counter-air operations to protect Saudi cities and infrastructure. This deployment follows a request from the Saudi government for additional military assistance amid intensifying Houthi attacks. Britain will also send a military transport aircraft and advisers, while reiterating that military action alone cannot resolve the Yemen conflict.
