Man Gets 20 Years For Sexually Harassing Minor

A 65-year-old man, identified as V. Selvam of Vanur, has been convicted and sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the sexual harassment of a six-year-old girl. The incident occurred on November 7, 2020, when the accused allegedly harassed the child while she was playing near her home. Following a complaint by the girl's parents, Vanur police arrested Selvam. The special court also ordered compensation of ₹4 lakh to be paid to the victim.

वानूर के वी. सेल्वन नाम के 65 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को छह साल की बच्ची के यौन उत्पीड़न के मामले में दोषी ठहराया गया है। उसे 20 साल की कड़ी कैद की सजा सुनाई गई है। यह घटना 7 नवंबर 2020 को हुई थी। बच्ची के माता-पिता की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने सेल्वन को गिरफ्तार किया था। विशेष अदालत ने पीड़ित को ₹4 लाख का मुआवजा देने का भी आदेश दिया है।
