Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has challenged Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to identify suitable land for an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) centre in Mandya. Shivakumar assured that the state government would acquire the identified land and hand it over for the project, rejecting allegations of non-cooperation. He stated that approximately 100 acres have already been identified, with local representatives offering support. The Chief Minister also discussed the Mekedatu project, highlighting its benefits for Mandya and other districts during rainfall deficits.

कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री डी. के. शिवकुमार ने केंद्रीय मंत्री एच. डी. कुमारस्वामी को मांड्या में ऑटोमोटिव रिसर्च एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (ARAI) सेंटर के लिए उपयुक्त जमीन पहचानने की चुनौती दी है। शिवकुमार ने आश्वासन दिया कि राज्य सरकार पहचानी गई जमीन का अधिग्रहण करेगी और प्रोजेक्ट के लिए सौंप देगी, और असहयोग के आरोपों को खारिज कर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि लगभग 100 एकड़ जमीन की पहचान पहले ही हो चुकी है, और स्थानीय प्रतिनिधियों ने समर्थन की पेशकश की है। मुख्यमंत्री ने मेकेदातु परियोजना पर भी चर्चा की, और वर्षा की कमी के दौरान मांड्या और अन्य जिलों के लिए इसके लाभों पर प्रकाश डाला।
