Allahabad HC Transfers Missing Woman Probe To CBI After 2 Years

The Allahabad High Court has transferred the investigation into the disappearance of a 42-year-old woman to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Uttar Pradesh Police had failed to trace the woman, Sudama Devi, for over two years since she went missing on September 8, 2024. The court directed the CBI to make all efforts to find her and produce her by December 1. The woman's husband filed a habeas corpus petition alleging illegal custody.

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने 42 वर्षीय महिला के लापता होने की जांच केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (CBI) को सौंप दी है। उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस 8 सितंबर 2024 को लापता होने के बाद से दो साल से अधिक समय से महिला, सुदामा देवी, का पता लगाने में विफल रही थी। अदालत ने CBI को उसे खोजने और 1 दिसंबर तक पेश करने के सभी प्रयास करने का निर्देश दिया। महिला के पति ने अवैध हिरासत का आरोप लगाते हुए बंदी प्रत्यक्षीकरण याचिका दायर की थी।
