Police in Dhubri have arrested a 51-year-old lodge owner, Sahad Ali Sk, in connection with an alleged hawala network. Sk, owner of Afrin Lodge, is suspected of having links with Bangladesh and communications with a previously arrested hawala operator. The investigation focuses on suspected money movement tied to cattle smuggling operations. Authorities are examining Ali's contacts, communications, and financial dealings to determine his role as a conduit. Eleven accused individuals have been arrested so far as police trace the financial trail and identify other involved parties.
