The government has officially debunked a fake gazette notification circulating on social media that falsely claimed every Saturday would be a public holiday for banks. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check confirmed that no such notification has been issued by the Ministry of Finance. Customers should continue to follow the existing rule where only the second and fourth Saturdays are holidays, while other Saturdays are typically working days.
