She shared that her filmmaker father had to make difficult financial decisions, sometimes selling their home to fund his projects. Ganguly revealed that her family lost everything at one point, but her father's dream of owning a home in Mumbai persisted. She also mentioned that after receiving the 'Anupama' show, she was able to buy her first home, fulfilling her father's aspiration.

टीवी शो 'अनुपमा' की मशहूर अदाकारा रूपाली गांगुली अपने परिवार के पुराने दिनों की आर्थिक तंगी को याद करके भावुक हो गईं। उन्होंने बताया कि उनके फिल्ममेकर पिता को अपने प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए पैसे जुटाने के लिए कई मुश्किल आर्थिक फैसले लेने पड़ते थे, कभी-कभी तो अपना घर भी बेचना पड़ता था। गांगुली ने खुलासा किया कि एक समय ऐसा आया जब उनके परिवार ने सब कुछ खो दिया था, लेकिन मुंबई में अपना घर खरीदने का उनके पिता का सपना बना रहा। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि 'अनुपमा' शो मिलने के बाद, वह अपने पिता की इच्छा पूरी करते हुए अपना पहला घर खरीद पाईं।
