The Telangana BJP is experiencing unease following an informal request from ally Jana Sena Party (JSP) for a Legislative Council seat. JSP seeks support for its nominee, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ constituency, citing the popularity of its leader Pawan Kalyan. However, this constituency has traditionally been a stronghold for the BJP. While the central leadership will make the final decision, state BJP leaders are reportedly planning to resist the demand to ensure a party member contests.
