The Election Commission of India has granted Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee an extension until September 16 to submit documents regarding the Trinamool Congress symbol dispute. Both leaders intend to use the 'twin grass flowers' symbol for upcoming by-elections. Sources suggest the ECI might freeze the symbol temporarily, similar to the Shiv Sena case. The Mamata camp has submitted organizational election documents from 2015, 2017, and 2022 to assert her chairpersonship.

चुनाव आयोग ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस के चुनाव चिन्ह विवाद पर ममता बनर्जी और रीताब्रता बनर्जी को 16 सितंबर तक दस्तावेज़ जमा करने का समय दिया है। दोनों नेता आगामी उपचुनावों में 'जुड़वां घास फूल' चिन्ह का इस्तेमाल करना चाहते हैं। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, आयोग शिवसेना मामले की तरह चिन्ह को अस्थायी रूप से फ्रीज कर सकता है। ममता खेमे ने अपनी अध्यक्षी साबित करने के लिए 2015, 2017 और 2022 के संगठनात्मक चुनाव दस्तावेज़ जमा किए हैं।
