इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार और राज्य चुनाव आयोग को तीन महीने के भीतर त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव कराने का आदेश दिया है। यह निर्देश ओबीसी आरक्षण तय करने की प्रक्रिया को लेकर अदालत द्वारा उठाए गए चिंताओं के बाद आया है। अदालत ने ओबीसी आयोग के सर्वेक्षण के दायरे और डेटा की गुणवत्ता पर सवाल उठाए। सरकार को अब निर्धारित समय सीमा के भीतर चुनाव कराने के लिए ओबीसी आयोग की रिपोर्ट को अंतिम रूप देना और लागू करना होगा, या अदालत से विस्तार मांगना होगा।
