eMudhra co-founder Kaushik Srinivasan stated that eight out of 40 certifying authorities created vulnerable keys but these were never used commercially, meaning no cybersecurity incidents occurred. He assured that subscribers are unaffected as no certificates were issued, and this does not impact other business lines. The company is investigating the error by the CAs that led to the creation of these weaker keys. While eMudhra's infrastructure and data remain secure, the incident may pose reputational risks.
