Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky has identified two groups of professionals at risk of not adapting to the AI era: pure people managers and individuals resistant to change. He stated that managers must evolve into "hybrid people managers" or "manager ICs" to remain valuable. Chesky emphasized that solely managing people without contributing to their work will become obsolete. He also warned that employees unwilling to learn new technologies may struggle, but a "growth mindset" can facilitate adaptation to AI tools.
