Fadnavis referenced the 1975 Emergency and the 42nd Constitutional Amendment under Indira Gandhi, suggesting a similar pattern is now being followed. He also questioned the opposition's use of a red-coloured constitution book, contrasting it with the traditional blue one, and alleged its use in other countries for power shifts.
