FSSAI Proposes Red Box Warnings On Unhealthy Foods

India's food regulator, FSSAI, has proposed displaying prominent red box warnings on packaged food products high in fat, sugar, and salt. This move, prompted by the Supreme Court, aims to combat the consumption of unhealthy foods. The warnings will be placed on the front labels, making it easier for consumers to identify and avoid products with excessive unhealthy ingredients.

भारतीय खाद्य नियामक FSSAI ने पैकेट वाले खाने के सामान पर फैट, चीनी और नमक की ज़्यादा मात्रा होने पर लाल डिब्बे में चेतावनी छापने का प्रस्ताव दिया है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कहने पर यह कदम उठाया गया है ताकि लोग अनहेल्दी खाना कम खाएं। ये चेतावनियां सामने वाले लेबल पर होंगी, जिससे ग्राहकों को ज़्यादा अनहेल्दी चीज़ों वाले प्रोडक्ट पहचानने और उनसे बचने में आसानी होगी।
