Cusat Researchers Secure Indian Patent For Antenna Tech To Reduce Radiation Exposure
Times of India · technology
Researchers at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) have been granted an Indian patent for a novel microstrip patch antenna technology. This innovation is designed to significantly reduce the amount of radiation directed towards the human body from wireless devices. The technology aims to minimize electromagnetic energy absorption by the body while maintaining a compact antenna size and improving overall performance. Developed by retired professor Stephen Rodrigues and research scholar Hrudya B Kurup, it controls radiation direction, reducing rearward emission while preserving forward signal strength.
Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat)
