KKR Secures CCI Approval for Stake Acquisition in Gentari Renewables India

Global investment firm KKR has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to acquire a stake in Gentari Renewables India. This clean energy platform is a subsidiary of Malaysia's PETRONAS. KKR is making the investment through its affiliate Sapphire US HoldCo. Gentari Renewables India focuses on power generation from renewable sources and battery energy storage solutions. The deal, announced in October, involves an investment of approximately Rs 6,000 crore, bolstering KKR's presence in India's clean energy sector.

ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टमेंट फर्म KKR को Gentari Renewables India में हिस्सेदारी खरीदने के लिए भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (CCI) से मंजूरी मिल गई है। यह क्लीन एनर्जी प्लेटफॉर्म मलेशिया की PETRONAS की सहायक कंपनी है। KKR यह निवेश अपनी सहयोगी Sapphire US HoldCo के ज़रिए कर रही है। Gentari Renewables India का फोकस रिन्यूएबल सोर्स से बिजली उत्पादन और बैटरी एनर्जी स्टोरेज सॉल्यूशंस पर है। अक्टूबर में घोषित इस डील में लगभग 6,000 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश शामिल है, जिससे भारत के क्लीन एनर्जी सेक्टर में KKR की मौजूदगी मजबूत होगी।
