CJP ने दिल्ली में वोटिंग में धांधली और सीईसी ज्ञाननेश कुमार के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। इस प्रदर्शन के कारण राजधानी में अभूतपूर्व सुरक्षा उपाय और बड़े पैमाने पर व्यवधान उत्पन्न हुए। दिल्ली पुलिस ने विरोध प्रदर्शन की अनुमति नहीं दी थी, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप भारी सुरक्षा बल तैनात किए गए। CJP नेता दिल्ली हवाई अड्डे पर पहुंचे, जिसके बाद अधिकारियों ने केंद्रीय दिल्ली के 4 किलोमीटर के दायरे में रात 10 बजे तक धारा 144 लागू कर दी और इंटरनेट सेवाएं निलंबित कर दीं।
