Madras HC Seeks Probe Into CJP's Saurav Das, Orders Social Media Block

The Madras High Court has issued a notice regarding a public interest litigation seeking an investigation into Saurav Das, National Co-Convenor of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). A businessman filed the petition alleging Das's Nepali lineage and fraudulent acquisition of Indian identity documents like Aadhaar and passport. The plea also requests blocking Das's X and Instagram accounts to prevent alleged derogatory statements against the judiciary. The court has ordered notice to the Union government and other respondents, returnable in six weeks.
