Hyderabad Man Arrested for Honey-Trapping Over 1000 People

Police in Hyderabad have arrested Pawan Kumar for allegedly operating a honey-trapping and blackmailing scheme through social media. He created fake profiles of women to befriend men, obtain explicit photos and videos, and then extort money. Authorities estimate he contacted over 1,000 individuals and extorted approximately ₹38 lakh. Victims included doctors, businessmen, and professionals from India and abroad. Police recovered three mobile phones, a laptop, and a pen drive, and have registered a case under IT Act and BNS sections.

हैदराबाद पुलिस ने पवन कुमार को सोशल मीडिया के ज़रिए हनी-ट्रैपिंग और ब्लैकमेलिंग का रैकेट चलाने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। उसने पुरुषों को फंसाने के लिए महिलाओं की नकली प्रोफाइल बनाईं, आपत्तिजनक फोटो और वीडियो हासिल किए, और फिर पैसे ऐंठे। अधिकारियों का अनुमान है कि उसने 1,000 से ज़्यादा लोगों से संपर्क किया और करीब 38 लाख रुपये वसूले। पीड़ितों में भारत और विदेश के डॉक्टर, व्यापारी और पेशेवर शामिल थे। पुलिस ने तीन मोबाइल फोन, एक लैपटॉप और एक पेन ड्राइव बरामद की है, और IT Act और BNS की धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है।
