New Training Rules for IPS Officers to Include Home Ministry Attachment

The training and deployment process for new IPS officers is set to change. Trainee IPS officers will now be attached to the Union Home Ministry before being sent for probation and further training in their allocated state cadres. This new system is being implemented for the first time. The 78th regular recruitment batch, comprising 151 officers including 16 foreign nationals, has completed the first phase of training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.

नए आईपीएस अधिकारियों के प्रशिक्षण और तैनाती की प्रक्रिया बदलने वाली है। ट्रेनी आईपीएस अधिकारियों को अब उनके आवंटित राज्य कैडर में प्रोबेशन और आगे के प्रशिक्षण के लिए भेजे जाने से पहले केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय से अटैच किया जाएगा। यह नई व्यवस्था पहली बार लागू की जा रही है। 78वीं रेगुलर रिक्रूटमेंट बैच, जिसमें 16 विदेशी नागरिकों सहित 151 अधिकारी शामिल हैं, ने हैदराबाद में सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल नेशनल पुलिस अकादमी में प्रशिक्षण का पहला चरण पूरा कर लिया है।
