Gujarat to Launch 101 New Shramik Annapurna Centres, Boosting Worker Meal Access

Gujarat is set to launch 101 new Shramik Annapurna centres across 28 districts, expanding the scheme to 372 locations. This initiative is expected to provide an additional 10,000 subsidised meals daily, benefiting approximately 45,000 construction workers and their families. The scheme, implemented by the labour department, offers meals at Rs 5 per person, including rotis, vegetables, dal, and rice, with sweets served weekly. Doorstep delivery is also available at sites with over 50 workers, facilitating access to nutritious food for the state's workforce.

गुजरात 28 जिलों में 101 नए श्रमिक अन्नपूर्णा केंद्र खोलने जा रहा है, जिससे यह योजना 372 स्थानों पर पहुँच जाएगी। इस पहल से हर दिन 10,000 अतिरिक्त सब्सिडी वाले भोजन मिलने की उम्मीद है, जिससे लगभग 45,000 निर्माण श्रमिकों और उनके परिवारों को फायदा होगा। श्रम विभाग द्वारा लागू की गई इस योजना में प्रति व्यक्ति 5 रुपये में भोजन मिलता है, जिसमें रोटी, सब्जी, दाल और चावल शामिल हैं, और हफ्ते में एक बार मिठाई भी दी जाती है। 50 से अधिक श्रमिकों वाले साइटों पर डोरस्टेप डिलीवरी की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध है, जिससे राज्य के श्रमिकों को पौष्टिक भोजन आसानी से मिल सकेगा।
