BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has filed a criminal defamation case of ₹2 crore against former finance secretary Subhash Chandra Garg. The legal battle stems from Garg's recent podcast interview where he alleged Dubey pressured him regarding an LIC matter in 2018. Garg also accused Dubey of blackmail. Dubey has vehemently denied these allegations, stating that the court will now decide the matter. This case could also evaluate Dubey's 18-year parliamentary career.

बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने पूर्व वित्त सचिव सुभाष चंद्र गर्ग के खिलाफ ₹2 करोड़ का आपराधिक मानहानि का केस दायर किया है। यह कानूनी लड़ाई गर्ग के हालिया पॉडकास्ट इंटरव्यू से शुरू हुई, जिसमें उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि दुबे ने 2018 में एलआईसी मामले को लेकर उन पर दबाव डाला था। गर्ग ने दुबे पर ब्लैकमेल करने का भी आरोप लगाया। दुबे ने इन आरोपों का पुरजोर खंडन किया है और कहा है कि अब अदालत मामले का फैसला करेगी। यह केस दुबे के 18 साल के संसदीय करियर का भी मूल्यांकन कर सकता है।
