Gurugram Municipal Corporation Launches Drive to Recover Water Dues and Curb Illegal Connections

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has intensified its drive to recover outstanding water bills and check illegal connections across the city. Special teams have been formed to inspect connections, identify defaulters, and verify accounts against municipal records. Action is being taken under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, including disconnecting unauthorised connections and recovering dues, with some unpaid bills reaching ₹5 lakh and higher. The drive aims to streamline water billing, update records, and improve the collection system by urging consumers to clear dues and regularise connections.

गुरुग्राम नगर निगम (MCG) ने पूरे शहर में बकाया पानी के बिलों की वसूली और अवैध कनेक्शनों की जांच के अपने अभियान को तेज कर दिया है। कनेक्शनों का निरीक्षण करने, बकाएदारों की पहचान करने और नगर निगम के रिकॉर्ड के खिलाफ खातों को सत्यापित करने के लिए विशेष टीमों का गठन किया गया है। हरियाणा नगर निगम अधिनियम के तहत कार्रवाई की जा रही है, जिसमें अनधिकृत कनेक्शनों को काटना और बकाए की वसूली शामिल है, कुछ बिना भुगतान वाले बिल ₹5 लाख और उससे अधिक तक पहुंच गए हैं।
