Jet Airways Liquidator Appeals Boeing's $92.12 Million Refund Rejection
Business Standard · business
The liquidator of Jet Airways has appealed to the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) rejected a plea to recover $92.12 million paid to Boeing. This amount was paid as advances for aircraft that were never delivered. The NCLAT has issued a notice to Boeing, which has two weeks to respond. The dispute arises from purchase agreements made in 2013, where Jet Airways made advance payments but later faced financial difficulties. Boeing subsequently suspended and terminated the agreements without delivering the aircraft.
