Cricket West Indies CEO Criticises Revenue Model After India Series

Business Standard · sports

Cricket West Indies CEO Chris Dehring has voiced strong criticism of the current revenue model for bilateral cricket series. He highlighted that the host nation retains 100% of earnings, meaning the West Indies will receive nothing from the ongoing series against India, which is expected to generate USD 20 to 30 million. Dehring explained that a 1997 decision by ICC members to change the financial model has significantly damaged West Indies cricket.
