Gurugram Building Tilts After Adjacent Excavation; 12 Families Evacuated

An under-construction five-storey building in Gurugram's Sushant Lok-I developed cracks and tilted by 2.5 inches following excavation work on an adjoining plot. At least 12 families residing in three nearby residential buildings were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Police have deployed personnel to secure the area, halted construction, and alerted the district administration. An FIR has been registered against the owner and contractor of the adjacent plot for alleged haphazard digging that weakened the foundation. Residents reported feeling their buildings shake and hearing falling debris.

गुरुग्राम के सुशांत लोक-1 में एक निर्माणाधीन पांच मंजिला इमारत बगल के प्लॉट पर खुदाई के काम के बाद 2.5 इंच झुक गई और उसमें दरारें आ गईं। एहतियात के तौर पर पास की तीन आवासीय इमारतों में रहने वाले कम से कम 12 परिवारों को बाहर निकाला गया। पुलिस ने इलाके को सुरक्षित करने के लिए जवानों को तैनात किया है, निर्माण कार्य रुकवा दिया है और जिला प्रशासन को सूचित कर दिया है। बगल के प्लॉट के मालिक और ठेकेदार के खिलाफ कथित तौर पर लापरवाही से खुदाई कर नींव कमजोर करने के आरोप में FIR दर्ज की गई है। निवासियों ने अपनी इमारतों को हिलते हुए और मलबा गिरते हुए गिरने की आवाजें सुनीं।
