Delhi Invokes GRAP Stage 1 Later This Year Due To Preventive Measures

Delhi implemented Stage I of the Graded Response Action Plan later than usual this year, according to Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The government has prepared preventive measures, including restrictions on polluting vehicles and staggered office timings, to combat winter air pollution. These efforts, alongside public participation, have contributed to the city experiencing a longer period without GR restrictions. The Commission for Air Quality Management imposed Stage I of GR across Delhi-NCR as air quality entered the 'poor' category.

पर्यावरण मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने बताया कि दिल्ली में इस साल ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (GRAP) का पहला चरण सामान्य से कुछ देर से लागू किया गया है। सरकार ने सर्दियों में वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहनों पर रोक और दफ्तरों के समय में बदलाव जैसे एहतियाती उपाय तैयार किए हैं। इन प्रयासों और जनता की भागीदारी से शहर में GR प्रतिबंधों के बिना एक लंबा समय बीता है। वायु गुणवत्ता 'खराब' श्रेणी में आने के बाद वायु गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन आयोग ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर में GR के पहले चरण को लागू किया है।
