दिल्ली में जंतर मंतर पर होने वाले एक नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन से पहले, नोएडा में अधिकारियों ने सीमा जांच तेज कर दी है और लगभग 300 लोगों को निवारक हिरासत में लिया है। पुलिस ने चिल्ला और यूपी गेट जैसे प्रमुख सीमा चौकियों पर अतिरिक्त कर्मियों को तैनात किया और प्रदर्शन में जाने का संदेह वाले वाहनों को वापस भेज दिया। निवारक कार्रवाई में नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं को भी निशाना बनाया गया, जिनमें से कुछ को उनके घरों पर ही हिरासत में ले लिया गया। BNSS की धारा 163 के तहत निषेधाज्ञा लागू थी, जिसके कारण सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई और अफवाहों को रोकने के लिए सोशल मीडिया की निगरानी की गई।
