108 Hospital Housekeeping Staff Strike Indefinitely Over Pay Disparity

Nearly 108 housekeeping staff at Govt Doon Medical College and Hospital in Dehradun have begun an indefinite strike over delayed pay revisions. Despite government assurances and a 'common work, common pay' order, most staff have not received their promised salary increase. The staff previously called off a similar strike in September after assurances that revisions would be completed by the end of that month. Hospital officials state the delay is due to a time-consuming document verification process for all 108 employees, which is expected to conclude in the coming weeks.

देहरादून के सरकारी दून मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल में लगभग 108 हाउसकीपिंग स्टाफ ने वेतन संशोधन में देरी को लेकर अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल शुरू कर दी है। सरकारी आश्वासन और 'समान काम, समान वेतन' के आदेश के बावजूद, अधिकांश कर्मचारियों को उनकी वादा की गई वेतन वृद्धि नहीं मिली है। कर्मचारियों ने पहले सितंबर में इसी तरह की हड़ताल वापस ले ली थी, जब उन्हें आश्वासन दिया गया था कि संशोधन उसी महीने के अंत तक पूरा हो जाएगा। अस्पताल के अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सभी 108 कर्मचारियों के लिए समय लेने वाली दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन प्रक्रिया के कारण देरी हो रही है, जिसके आने वाले हफ्तों में पूरा होने की उम्मीद है।
