Delhi's Temperature Drops Sharply After Overnight Rain Spell

Heavy overnight rain and thunderstorms brought a significant temperature drop across Delhi, with the minimum temperature falling by nearly six degrees to 18.7°C. While the Met department had issued a yellow alert, the intensity of the rainfall surprised many, with Safdarjung station recording 41.6mm. Meteorologists attribute the weather to a western disturbance and moisture-laden winds, but expect temperatures to rebound soon. The rain also improved Delhi's air quality, bringing the AQI down to 83.

रात भर हुई भारी बारिश और आंधी-तूफान के कारण दिल्ली के तापमान में काफी गिरावट आई है, न्यूनतम तापमान लगभग छह डिग्री गिरकर 18.7°C पर पहुँच गया है। मौसम विभाग ने येलो अलर्ट जारी किया था, लेकिन बारिश की तीव्रता ने कई लोगों को चौंका दिया, सफदरजंग स्टेशन ने 41.6mm बारिश दर्ज की। मौसम वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि यह पश्चिमी विक्षोभ और नमी भरी हवाओं के कारण हुआ है, लेकिन उम्मीद है कि तापमान जल्द ही फिर से बढ़ेगा। बारिश से दिल्ली की हवा की गुणवत्ता में भी सुधार हुआ है, AQI घटकर 83 हो गया है।
