India's sugar production has seen a remarkable fourfold increase, reaching 12.85 lakh tonnes this marketing year, a significant jump from 3.20 lakh tonnes last year. This surge is attributed to an earlier start in sugarcane crushing, with 184 mills operational, compared to 154 last year. Maharashtra has driven this growth, with production rising tenfold in the state. With ample stock and increased production, India is well-positioned to meet domestic demand during the festive season and beyond.

इस विपणन वर्ष में भारत का चीनी उत्पादन चार गुना बढ़कर 12.85 लाख टन हो गया है, जो पिछले साल के 3.20 लाख टन से काफी ज्यादा है। यह उछाल गन्ने की पेराई जल्दी शुरू होने के कारण हुआ है, जिसमें पिछले साल के 154 की तुलना में 184 मिलें चालू हैं। महाराष्ट्र ने इस वृद्धि में सबसे आगे रहा है, जहाँ उत्पादन दस गुना बढ़ गया है। पर्याप्त स्टॉक और बढ़े हुए उत्पादन के साथ, भारत त्योहारी सीजन और उसके बाद घरेलू मांग को पूरा करने के लिए अच्छी स्थिति में है।
