Mali Army, Russian Allies Kill 94 Civilians in Drone Strikes: HRW Report

Mali's armed forces and their Russian allies conducted "apparent indiscriminate" drone strikes and other abuses during an intensified offensive against insurgents, a Human Rights Watch report stated. Between April and August, 47 drone strikes by Malian forces and Africa Corps killed 94 civilians, more than double the number from the same period last year. The report documented specific incidents, including an attack on a cattle market that killed six men and a strike on a health centre.
