Visvesvaraya Steel Plant Official Found Dead At Residence

An official from the Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISP) in Bhadravathi was discovered deceased at his home on Monday, October 5. The deceased, identified as 51-year-old Govindaraj, served as the assistant general manager of the electrical section and had been with the plant for nine years. He was living alone as his wife and children were in their native place. Colleagues found him after he failed to respond to calls. Police are investigating the death as unnatural and suspect suicide, though no note was found.
