Haryana Man Arrested in Rs 40 Lakh WhatsApp 'Boss Scam'

Surat police have arrested a 26-year-old man from Haryana for his alleged role in a Rs 40 lakh 'Boss Scam'. The fraud involved impersonating a company owner on WhatsApp to trick an employee into transferring funds. The accused, Naveen Jaat, allegedly arranged bank accounts for cyber fraud operations. Investigations revealed transactions totaling over Rs 53 lakh through one account used in the crime. Police have so far refunded Rs 18.5 lakh to the complainant and are investigating further links to other fraud complaints.

सूरत पुलिस ने 40 लाख रुपये के 'बॉस स्कैम' में कथित भूमिका के लिए हरियाणा के 26 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। इस धोखाधड़ी में एक कंपनी के मालिक के रूप में व्हाट्सएप पर एक कर्मचारी को पैसे ट्रांसफर करने के लिए बरगलाना शामिल था। आरोपी, नवीन जाट, पर साइबर धोखाधड़ी के संचालन के लिए बैंक खाते की व्यवस्था करने का आरोप है। जांच में अपराध में इस्तेमाल किए गए एक खाते के माध्यम से 53 लाख रुपये से अधिक के लेनदेन का पता चला है। पुलिस ने अब तक शिकायतकर्ता को 18.5 लाख रुपये वापस कर दिए हैं और अन्य धोखाधड़ी की शिकायतों से आगे की कड़ी की जांच कर रही है।
