The Election Commission of India has implemented stricter regulations for Form-7 applications, which are used to object to names being added or removed from voter lists. To prevent misuse, individuals can now submit a maximum of 10 objections during the claims and objections period and five per month during continuous updates. This move aims to reduce administrative burdens and prevent harassment of genuine voters caused by unsubstantiated objections.
