Emonnie Branch, a 51-year-old suspect, has been taken into custody for the fatal shooting of Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Warren County, Kentucky, on I-65. Louisville Metro Police apprehended Branch in Louisville's West End area. A Blue Alert issued by Kentucky State Police was cancelled following his arrest. The investigation into the motive behind the shooting is ongoing. Trooper Phillips was killed during a traffic stop, and his death has been confirmed by Kentucky State Police.
