A real estate agent, Helen Tzelios, has reportedly had her LinkedIn profile removed after being fired by Douglas Elliman. This action follows a lawsuit filed by a couple, Lisa Renee Olaso and Cyril Christopher, who allege racial discrimination. The couple claims Tzelios sent a text message stating 'ugh they are black' before an apartment viewing. Douglas Elliman stated they have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination and fired Tzelios within an hour of receiving the lawsuit. The lawsuit cites federal and New York City laws prohibiting housing discrimination.
