The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has increased its central contract list from 30 to 39 players for the 2026-27 cycle. This expansion includes 30 full central contracts and nine development deals. Seven players have received new full contracts, with uncapped seamer Henry Crocombe and batter Jordan Cox securing two-year deals. The retirements of Ben Stokes and Mark Wood have freed up funds, allowing for this revised structure. Several players have also extended their agreements until September 2028, while others have renewed contracts until September 2027.
