Permission for the CJP-led protest against the Chief Election Commissioner was denied due to late application and alleged rule violations during a previous demonstration.

CJP के प्रवक्ता सौरव दास ने 10 अक्टूबर को 57 मेट्रो स्टेशनों के गेट बंद करने की दिल्ली पुलिस की मांग की आलोचना की है। उन्होंने इसे 'दिल्ली बंद' बताया और अधिकारियों द्वारा लगाए गए प्रतिबंधों पर सवाल उठाए। पुलिस ने जंतर मंतर और अन्य क्षेत्रों में प्रस्तावित विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान संवेदनशील स्थानों की ओर भीड़ की संभावित आवाजाही का हवाला दिया। उन्होंने मेट्रो ट्रेनों की आवृत्ति कम करने का भी अनुरोध किया। मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के खिलाफ CJP के नेतृत्व वाले विरोध प्रदर्शन की अनुमति देर से आवेदन करने और पिछले प्रदर्शन के दौरान कथित नियम उल्लंघनों के कारण अस्वीकार कर दी गई थी।
