Noida International Airport Renamed After PM Modi by UP Cabinet

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved renaming Noida International Airport at Jewar to ‘Narendra Modi International Airport, Noida-Jewar’. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the decision, stating the airport is poised to become India’s largest aviation hub. He highlighted the airport's potential to boost the state's economy, tourism, and global connectivity. This move is seen as a significant endorsement of the Prime Minister's leadership ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The airport will be the first to be named after a sitting Prime Minister.

उत्तर प्रदेश कैबिनेट ने जेवर में नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट का नाम बदलकर ‘नरेन्द्र मोदी इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट, नोएडा-जेवर’ करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने इस फैसले की घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि यह एयरपोर्ट भारत का सबसे बड़ा एविएशन हब बनने की राह पर है। उन्होंने इस एयरपोर्ट की राज्य की अर्थव्यवस्था, पर्यटन और वैश्विक कनेक्टिविटी को बढ़ावा देने की क्षमता पर जोर दिया। यह कदम 2027 के उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनावों से पहले प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व के एक महत्वपूर्ण समर्थन के रूप में देखा जा रहा है। यह एयरपोर्ट किसी मौजूदा प्रधानमंत्री के नाम पर रखा जाने वाला पहला एयरपोर्ट होगा।
