Court Restrains Congress MLCs From Defaming BRS Leader KT Rama Rao

A Hyderabad court has issued an interim order restraining Congress MLCs Balmoor Venkat and Addanki Dayakar from making further allegedly defamatory statements against BRS working president KT Rama Rao. The court passed the order in response to a ₹10 crore defamation suit filed by Rama Rao, who alleged malicious statements targeting his reputation and family. Rama Rao challenged allegations concerning drug consumption and personal relationships. The court found prima facie harm to his reputation and directed removal of disputed content online.

हैदराबाद की एक अदालत ने कांग्रेस एमएलसी बालमूर वेंकट और अडंकी दयाकर को बीआरएस कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष केटी रामा राव के खिलाफ कथित मानहानिकारक बयान देने से रोकने का अंतरिम आदेश जारी किया है। अदालत ने यह आदेश रामा राव द्वारा दायर 10 करोड़ रुपये के मानहानि मुकदमे के जवाब में पारित किया, जिसमें उन्होंने उनकी प्रतिष्ठा और परिवार को लक्षित करने वाले दुर्भावनापूर्ण बयानों का आरोप लगाया था। रामा राव ने नशीली दवाओं के सेवन और व्यक्तिगत संबंधों से संबंधित आरोपों को चुनौती दी। अदालत ने उनकी प्रतिष्ठा को प्रथम दृष्टया नुकसान पाया और ऑनलाइन विवादास्पद सामग्री को हटाने का निर्देश दिया।
