State Bank of India is investigating a data leak after discovering 3,897 customer records with personally identifiable information on the dark web. The bank received alerts on October 16 and is engaging a cybersecurity agency to probe the extent of the exposure. This incident follows similar breaches at Bank of Baroda and claims against ICICI Bank. While SBI stated the breach has no material impact on its operations, these events highlight growing vulnerabilities in India's banking systems. The data reportedly includes names, mobile numbers, and addresses.
