JNU Sexual Harassment Case: Court Seeks Police Reply On MP's Bail Plea

A Delhi court has sought a response from the city police regarding a plea for anticipatory bail filed by Congress MP and former JNU professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam. The plea comes after JNU dismissed Akoijam over sexual harassment allegations made by at least 11 female students. The students alleged inappropriate behaviour during meetings and classes. The Delhi High Court had previously stayed JNU's dismissal order. The court has also stated that no coercive action will be taken against Akoijam until November 5.
