Mumbai Learjet Crash Blamed On Pilot Error, Training Lapses

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has blamed the September 2023 Learjet crash at Mumbai airport on the crew's decision to continue an unstable approach in poor weather. Lapses were also found in pilot training, record-keeping, and internal audits at VSR Ventures, the operator. The AAIB recommended a one-time check of fixed-wing pilot training records for general aviation organizations. The final report was made public over three years after the accident, exceeding international norms.
