BrahMos Eyes Next-Gen Missile by 2028, 1,500-km Variant on Radar

BrahMos Aerospace is developing a next-generation missile, BrahMos-NG, with a prototype expected by 2027-28. This new version will be smaller, lighter, and stealthier, featuring higher indigenous content and advanced technologies. The company is also exploring a 1,500-km strike variant, currently in the conceptual stage. Foreign militaries are showing significant interest in the air-launched BrahMos, especially after its combat deployment in Operation Sindoor. BrahMos Aerospace is accelerating R&D and engaging with potential international customers for both current and future missile systems.
