Seven eyewitnesses completed their chief examination on Saturday in the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court for the Abhimanyu murder trial. The prosecution stated that the accused allegedly became violent after a dispute over graffiti painted by the Campus Front, the student wing of the Popular Front of India, on a wall reserved for the SFI. Witnesses noted changes in the accused's appearance, making identification difficult, though one witness identified all 16 accused. The trial, which began on October 15, aims for completion by November 12, with the chargesheet filed in 2018.

एर्नाकुलम प्रिंसिपल सेशंस कोर्ट में अभhimanyu हत्या ट्रायल के लिए सात प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने शनिवार को अपनी मुख्य जांच पूरी की। अभियोजन पक्ष ने कहा कि आरोपी कथित तौर पर कैंपस फ्रंट, पॉपुलर फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया के छात्र विंग, द्वारा एसएफआई के लिए आरक्षित दीवार पर पेंट की गई ग्राफिटी पर विवाद के बाद हिंसक हो गए थे। गवाहों ने आरोपियों की उपस्थिति में बदलाव देखे, जिससे पहचान मुश्किल हो गई, हालांकि एक गवाह ने सभी 16 आरोपियों की पहचान की। 15 अक्टूबर को शुरू हुए इस ट्रायल का लक्ष्य 12 नवंबर तक पूरा करना है, जिसमें 2018 में चार्जशीट दायर की गई थी।
