Nedumbassery Accident Car Was Speeding Over 165 Kmph: Police

Police investigating the Nedumbassery accident on October 11 have concluded that the luxury car involved was traveling at speeds between 165 and 180 kmph. This speed significantly exceeds the legal limit of 60 kmph on that stretch of Airport Road. Surveillance cameras installed by Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) captured the vehicle's excessive speed. The driver, identified as 19-year-old Suhail Sajeev, was also found to be heavily intoxicated at the time of the crash, which killed three young riders.

11 अक्टूबर को हुए नेदुमबास्सेरी हादसे की जांच कर रही पुलिस ने निष्कर्ष निकाला है कि हादसे में शामिल लग्जरी कार 165 से 180 किमी/घंटा की रफ़्तार से चल रही थी। यह रफ़्तार एयरपोर्ट रोड के उस हिस्से पर 60 किमी/घंटा की कानूनी सीमा से काफी ज़्यादा है। कोचीन इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट लिमिटेड (CIAL) द्वारा लगाए गए सर्विलांस कैमरों ने गाड़ी की अत्यधिक रफ़्तार को कैद किया। गाड़ी चलाने वाले की पहचान 19 वर्षीय सुहेल सजीव के रूप में हुई है, जो दुर्घटना के समय नशे में भी पाया गया था, जिसमें तीन युवा सवारों की मौत हो गई थी।
