Delhi's Racecourse Masjid Faces Demolition Threat; Power Cut

Delhi's 125-year-old Racecourse Masjid is under threat of demolition, with authorities cutting off its electricity and water supply. The mosque's imam, Maulvi Haroon, stated that the Land and Development Office (L&DO) issued a six-day notice to vacate. The mosque is currently empty, and the path leading to it has been blocked. Leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi and Chandrashekhar Azad have urged the government to intervene in the matter. The imam asserts the property is Waqf land and has been registered as such for 40 years.

दिल्ली की 125 साल पुरानी रेसकोर्स मस्जिद पर गिराए जाने का खतरा मंडरा रहा है, और अधिकारियों ने इसकी बिजली और पानी की सप्लाई काट दी है। मस्जिद के इमाम, मौलवी हारून ने बताया कि लैंड एंड डेवलपमेंट ऑफिस (L&DO) ने खाली करने के लिए छह दिन का नोटिस दिया है। मस्जिद फिलहाल खाली है, और वहां जाने का रास्ता बंद कर दिया गया है। असदुद्दीन ओवैसी और चंद्रशेखर आजाद जैसे नेताओं ने सरकार से इस मामले में दखल देने की अपील की है। इमाम का कहना है कि यह संपत्ति वक्फ की जमीन है और 40 साल से ऐसे ही दर्ज है।
