A Kollam Vigilance Court has sentenced an RTO agent, Muhammed Shafeeq, to six years in prison for his role in a fraudulent driving license issuance case. The case, which occurred between August 2008 and January 2009, involved a criminal conspiracy to issue licenses without tests. Fake entries were added to official records for financial gain. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau investigated the matter, leading to the conviction and sentencing of the second accused. He was fined ₹1 lakh, with sentences running concurrently.

कोल्लम विजिलेंस कोर्ट ने एक आरटीओ एजेंट, मोहम्मद शफीक को, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस धोखाधड़ी मामले में उसकी भूमिका के लिए 6 साल की जेल की सज़ा सुनाई है। यह मामला अगस्त 2008 और जनवरी 2009 के बीच का है, जिसमें बिना टेस्ट के लाइसेंस जारी करने की आपराधिक साज़िश शामिल थी। वित्तीय लाभ के लिए आधिकारिक रिकॉर्ड में फर्जी एंट्री की गई थीं। विजिलेंस एंड एंटी-करप्शन ब्यूरो ने मामले की जांच की, जिसके बाद दूसरे आरोपी को दोषी ठहराया गया और सज़ा सुनाई गई। उस पर 1 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया गया, और सज़ाएं एक साथ चलेंगी।
