West Bengal CM Orders Reopening of Cases Against MLA Rahman

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has directed police to reopen all pending cases against MLA Hamidul Rahman, whom he labelled a "mafia" and "goon." This action follows Rahman's recent return to the Mamata Banerjee camp after switching factions post-assembly elections. Adhikari also ordered the identification and reclamation of encroached government land in several districts, including Chopra and Islampur. He vowed to recover land allegedly grabbed from tribal and Sanatani communities. Rahman, however, dismissed the allegations, stating people know the truth about mafia activities.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने पुलिस को विधायक हमीदुल रहमान के खिलाफ लंबित सभी मामलों को फिर से खोलने का निर्देश दिया है, जिन्हें उन्होंने "माफिया" और "गुंडा" बताया। यह कार्रवाई रहमान के हाल ही में ममता बनर्जी खेमे में लौटने के बाद हुई है, जो विधानसभा चुनाव के बाद गुट बदलने के बाद हुआ था। अधिकारी ने चोपड़ा और इस्लामपुर सहित कई जिलों में सरकारी भूमि पर अतिक्रमण की पहचान करने और उसे वापस लेने का भी आदेश दिया। उन्होंने कथित तौर पर आदिवासी और सनातनी समुदायों से छीनी गई जमीन को वापस दिलाने का संकल्प लिया। हालांकि, रहमान ने आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा कि लोग माफिया गतिविधियों के बारे में सच्चाई जानते हैं।
